The Medical College of Peru, through its Committee of Traditional, Alternative and Complementary Medicine, with the collaboration of the Traditional, Complementary and Integrative Medicine Network of the Americas- TCIM Americas Network, the Brazilian Academic Consortium for Integrative Health – CABSIN, The Academy of Integrative Health & Medicine- AIHM, and the Health Ministry, Ministry of Culture of Peru, and the University Mayor of San Marcos, are organizing the “II World Summit on Traditional and Complementary Medicine towards an Integrative Medicine”/ “II Cumbre Mundial de Medicina Tradicional, y Complementaria, hacia una Medicina Integrativa”.
The event has the support of the PAHO office of Peru, the Embassy of India in Peru, the Chinese Embassy of Peru, and the University Mayor of San Andres of Bolivia

The Virtual Health Library on Traditional, Complementary, and Integrative Medicine of the Americas (VHL TCIM) is a thematic VHL which specializes in Traditional, Complementary, and Integrative Medicine (TCIM) and its related health practices. The VHL TCIM applies the VHL model of network collaboration.
The VHL TCIM aims to promote the presence, access, use, and publication of scientific, technical, and educational content that will contribute to the promotion, development and integration of the TCIM into health care services and systems in the Americas Region through the collaboration of stakeholders.
The VHL TCIM is a collaborative and participative virtual space, developed and managed by the TCIM Americas Network. The Latin-American and Caribbean System on Health Sciences Information (BIREME/PAHO/WHO), works as the articulator and facilitator of the afore mentioned Network.
The Traditional, Complementary, and Integrative Medicine Network for the Americas (TCIM Americas Network) is a collaborative initiative, created with the objective of interconnecting several stakeholders involved in the formulation of policies, regulation, training, promotion, practice, use and research of TCIM in the Americas. The aim is to develop a common agenda and advance in the integration of TCIM in healthcare systems and services according to each national context.
The Academy of Integrative Health & Medicine is advancing holistic integrative health globally – mind – body – spirit – community and planet. A global, interprofessional association of health professionals and organizations dedicated to integrative health and to transforming our health systems globally to include traditional, complementary and integrative in universal healthcare for all.
Brazilian Academic Consortium for Integrative Health is a network of reference researchers in Traditional, Complementary and Integrative Medicine (TCIM). We provide access to content, researches, news, methodologies, events, connections and opportunities that are respected nationally and internationally for their breadth, qualification and innovation.
As a center of excellence we aim to promote collaborative research respecting the complexity of the human being.
We are a non-profit social organization, which follows the guidelines of the World Health Organization Strategy on Traditional, Complementary and Integrative Medicine (TCIM) (2014-2023) and PAHO/WHO for the construction of qualified knowledge and scientific evidence on TCIM.
